{"id":336,"date":"2008-11-03T14:26:10","date_gmt":"2008-11-03T19:26:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.danielgoepfrich.com\/listen-day-38-revelation-1-7\/"},"modified":"2022-10-17T05:39:47","modified_gmt":"2022-10-17T09:39:47","slug":"listen-day-38-revelation-1-7","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.theologyisforeveryone.com\/listen-day-38-revelation-1-7\/","title":{"rendered":"Listen, Day 38: Revelation 1-7"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;m way behind in getting these (and other things) posted, but my plan is to get caught up this week. <a href='https:\/\/jetsalesbrasil.com.br\/28274681\/'>\u0631\u0648\u0644\u064a\u062a \u0645\u062c\u0627\u0646\u064a<\/a> <\/p>\n<p>So, finally, here are my thoughts on the first section of the Revelation:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>All people from all time will see Christ&#8217;s return, even those who <a href=\"http:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=revelation%201:7&amp;version=46\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">stuck a sword in him<\/a>, though they are long dead and probably in hell<\/li>\n<li>I like &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=revelation%201:9&amp;version=46\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Patmos Island<\/a>&#8221; rather than &#8220;Isle of Patmos&#8221; &#8211; I don&#8217;t know why I&#8217;ve never said it that way before<\/li>\n<li>&#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=revelation%202:5&amp;version=46;\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Think about where you have fallen from<\/a>&#8221; &#8211; strategic evaluation is necessary in order to know where growth and progress is needed. <strong>Pray for our <\/strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.oaktree.cc\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>church leaders<\/strong><\/a><strong> as we get ready to go into a season of evaluation and planning.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>How terrible it would be to hear Jesus say, &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=revelation%202:14&amp;version=46;\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">I have a few things against you<\/a>&#8220;!<\/li>\n<li>&#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=revelation%202:23&amp;version=46;\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">I will treat each of you as you deserve<\/a>&#8221; &#8211; enough said!<\/li>\n<li><strong>Obedience is a big factor in Jesus&#8217; evaluation of these churches and us today<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>How frustrating it must have been for John to try to describe what he saw. Notice how many times he used the word &#8220;like&#8221;.<\/li>\n<li>I have to admit that the song-parts of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=revelation%204-5&amp;version=46;\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">chapters 4 and 5<\/a> were pretty boring to me. <strong>I hope that our praise in heaven is a lot more upbeat, loud, and joyous than that! <a href='http:\/\/grupoceviche.com\/79lup1oh\/'>\u0633\u0644\u0648\u062a\u0633 \u0627\u0648\u0646 \u0644\u0627\u064a\u0646<\/a> <\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Now we start getting into the weird parts of the book. Some of this stuff is difficult to understand in any translation. <a href='https:\/\/fullscratch.xsrv.jp\/demo\/module-sample\/?p=58f42ucue\/'>\u0643\u064a\u0641\u064a\u0629 \u0644\u0639\u0628\u0629 \u0627\u0644\u0628\u0648\u0643\u0631<\/a> <\/li>\n<li>I love that <a href=\"http:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=revelation%206:1-7&amp;version=46;\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the voices of the four living creatures<\/a> in chapter 6 match <a href=\"http:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=revelation%204:7&amp;version=46;\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">their appearance<\/a> in chapter 4.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Some people are under the mistaken impression that only a few people will ever be saved.<\/strong> (Usually this comes from a misunderstanding of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=matthew%207:13-14&amp;version=46;\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Matthew 7:13-14<\/a>.) I think the &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=revelation%207:9&amp;version=46;\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">large crowd with more people than can be counted<\/a>&#8221; would have to disagree with that! And those are just the people who were <a href=\"http:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=revelation%207:14&amp;version=46;\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">saved out of the
