I hope this has been beneficial to you. First Corinthians is very much a practical letter. In it Paul addresses some specific problems and questions the believers in Corinth had. There is much to learn here.<\/p>\n<p><strong>David:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>They talked about preachers and guess who else is a preacher? Dad!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Saralynn:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Using big words to share the gospel with unbelievers causes the cross to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=1%20Corinthians%201:17;&amp;version=46;\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">lose its power<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Dan&#8217;l:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>We&#8217;re <a href=\"http:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=1%20corinthians%201:7&amp;version=46\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">not missing out on any blessings<\/a> waiting for Christ&#8217;s return<\/li>\n<li>In fact, the only reason it sometimes seems like we are (compared to other people) is because <a href=\"http:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=1%20Corinthians%202:14;&amp;version=46;\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">God&#8217;s best blessings look foolish<\/a> to those who don&#8217;t understand them<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=1%20Corinthians%204:20;&amp;version=46;\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">&#8220;God&#8217;s kingdom isn&#8217;t just a lot of words. It is power.&#8221;<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Christ&#8217;s salvation is <a href=\"http:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=1%20Corinthians%205:5;&amp;version=46;\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">still in effect<\/a>, even when someone is kicked out of the church for gross sin<\/li>\n<li>Just one thought when I listened to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=1%20Corinthians%206:1-8;&amp;version=46;\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">this whole section on judging each other<\/a> &#8211; <strong>&#8220;So much for focusing on &#8216;Judge not.&#8217;&#8221;<\/strong> We are supposed to hold each other in the church accountable for our actions. It&#8217;s our hearts and motives that we can&#8217;t see. <a href='http:\/\/feinesichuankueche14.at\/fwas8vn9\/'>nyerogepes jatekok online<\/a> <\/li>\n<li>Paul&#8217;s encouragement to &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=1%20Corinthians%206:20;&amp;version=46;\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">use your body to honor God<\/a>&#8221; is the same as he told the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=romans%2012:1;&amp;version=46;\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Romans in 12:1<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=1%20Corinthians%207;&amp;version=46;\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Chapter 7<\/a> includes a lot of clear information on the subject of marriage, divorce, and remarriage. A big chunk of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/exec\/obidos\/ASIN\/1604770279\/2tim22-20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">my book<\/a> deals with the teaching in this chapter.<\/li>\n<li>Someone&#8217;s background can have a huge hindering effect on his\/her spiritual development, and there are times that <a href=\"http:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=1%20Corinthians%208:7-9;&amp;version=46;\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">we have to be considerate<\/a> of this<\/li>\n<li><strong>What one thing has God called you to do that you will be <\/strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=1%20Corinthians%209:16;&amp;version=46;\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>doomed<\/strong><\/a><strong> if you don&#8217;t do it?<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We are well past the half-way point in our listening program.
