Nathan took Micah&#8217;s lead from the other day and took notes on paper for this section, too. (They were trying to see who could come up with the most notes &#8211; who do you think won?)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Nathan:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Pharisees finally asked something reasonable when they asked Stephen if they were saying the truth<\/li>\n<li>They wanted to go back to Egypt even though they were suffering there as much as in the desert<\/li>\n<li>It was cool how Stephen asked the Lord to forgive them just before he died, instead of when he was preaching<\/li>\n<li>We heard this story [Philip and the Ethiopian] in Treehouse Kids<\/li>\n<li>When Saul had the vision I wonder if God gave it to him in a dream or just a vision<\/li>\n<li>That&#8217;s funny that her name was Dorcus<\/li>\n<li>John baptized with water but God baptizes with the Holy Spirit<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Micah:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Joseph&#8217;s brothers sold him to Egypt<\/li>\n<li>Moses&#8217; mom was the queen<\/li>\n<li>One of the Egyptians pushed Moses<\/li>\n<li>Moses found God in the burning bush<\/li>\n<li>God told Moses to go let the Israelites free<\/li>\n<li>The Israelites praised a statue calf<\/li>\n<li>They were talking about their ancestors<\/li>\n<li>Jesus yelled at the people and told them, &#8220;God gave you the Bible but you don&#8217;t obey it.&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>They killed Stephen<\/li>\n<li>Saul ran around houses and killed women and men<\/li>\n<li>Peter told Simon that he could not buy God&#8217;s glory but earn God&#8217;s glory<\/li>\n<li>Philip ran up to a chariot and found somebody reading the Bible and helped him<\/li>\n<li>Philip baptized him<\/li>\n<li>Saul tried to tell people not to obey Jesus<\/li>\n<li>Saul was blind for three days<\/li>\n<li>God told Ananias to heal Saul<\/li>\n<li>Saul was baptized<\/li>\n<li>People were planning to kill Saul<\/li>\n<li>Peter healed somebody from the dead<\/li>\n<li>Peter was telling the people what happened when he was on the roof of somebody&#8217;s house<\/li>\n<li>I wonder how fast their life was<\/li>\n<li>Ananias told God, &#8220;Saul has the permission to kill Christians.&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>Peter told God, &#8220;I have never eaten unclean food.&#8221;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Dan&#8217;l:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>How well could we recount biblical or even American history in that detail off the top of our heads &#8211; Stephen <a href=\"http:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=acts%207:2-53;&amp;version=46;\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">knew the Scriptures<\/a><\/li>\n<li>I think this was probably an example of the Holy Spirit giving him the words to say (see <a href=\"http:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=matthew%2010:19-20;&amp;version=46;\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Matthew 10:19-20<\/a>)<\/li>\n<li>I&#8217;ve always loved the phrase that Simon &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=acts%208:9;&amp;version=46;\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">claimed to be somebody<\/a>&#8220;<\/li>\n<li>Sometimes God puts us somewhere for the benefit of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=acts%208:26-27;&amp;version=46;\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">just one other person<\/a><\/li>\n<li>I didn&#8217;t remember the story of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Acts%209:32-35;&amp;version=46;\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Aeneas<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Peter had a serious problem with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Acts%2010:19-20;&amp;version=46;\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">prejudice<\/a> even as a church leader (see also <a href=\"http:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=galatians%202:11-21;&amp;version=46;\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Galatians 2:11-21<\/a>). <strong>Leaders aren&#8217;t perfect; we need lots of prayer and support, too. <a href='https:\/\/hannahlanephotography.com\/84433743\/'>\u0627\u0633\u0631\u0627\u0631 \u0644\u0639\u0628\u0629 \u0627\u0644\u0628\u0648\u0643\u0631<\/a> <\/strong><\/li>\n<li>&#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Acts%2010:44;&amp;version=46;\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Took control<\/a>&#8221; is a great translation that also explains what Holy Spirit-filling really is<\/li>\n<li>A lot of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Acts%2011:17-18;&amp;version=46;\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">church problems would stop<\/a> if we just focused on what God is doing<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Trying to catch up on posting our thoughts on our LISTEN series schedule.
