\u201cPeople in America are scared.\u201d<\/em><\/p>

This line has been filling my Facebook feed for four days now, usually to explain or excuse the senseless violence and criminal activity that has overtaken many cities across our nation. Some people are threatening the lives of others because of their skin color or religion, while others are destroying other people\u2019s homes, businesses, vehicles, etc.<\/p>

People in America are scared.<\/em> And they should be, but not for the reasons we have been given. There are legitimate reasons that many Americans should be scared, and here are a few:<\/p>

1. People should<\/span> be scared that tens of millions of people are manipulated by the talking heads on TV and the internet, believing anything and everything that they hear without discernment.<\/p>

2. People should<\/span> be scared that the current generation of children in school are being taught that they have no definite purpose in this life, that what matters is only what they think and believe.<\/p>

3. People should<\/span> be scared that we have at least two generations of Americans who no longer believe in or accept any kind of absolute truth or error outside of their own making.<\/p>

4. People should<\/span> be scared that millions of Americans believe that they are not responsible for the consequences of their actions and that blame and violence are acceptable responses to situations they don\u2019t like or agree with.<\/p>

5. People should<\/span> be scared that there are high-ranking officials in every part and party of our government who hold to a bold and blatant philosophy supporting:<\/p>
